More often than not, those who talk the most have the
least to say. It’s one of my favorite idioms. I’m not sure who said it, but I
know you’ve experienced it: parties, meetings, crowded airplanes, presidential
debates. Too many people are simply clueless. Some talk too much and really
have nothing to say; others will try to berate you into submission. But, as Barry Neil
Kaufman once wrote, “A loud voice cannot compete with a clear voice,
even if it’s a whisper.”
With a variety of products and services from which to
choose, it takes quite a following to take top honors in this category.
Emerging as your favorite from all the contestants listed on this year’s asp.netPRO Readers’ Choice Awards ballot
is DXperience ASP.NET from Developer Express.
They easily won the Component Set category, and obviously have a strong and
loyal customer base. Honorary mention goes to runner-up DiscountASP.NET
and third-place finisher, Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET.
I’d like to thank all the third-party vendors who create
the products and services included in our survey. The products they create and
the risks they take to bring them to the market are what these awards are all
about. Their efforts make our ASP.NET
development endeavors more efficient, more productive, and, hopefully, more
profitable. Congratulations to every company on the ballot; there would be no
